Hilo Hattie opened its newly renovated Maui location within the Outlets of Maui earlier this month. A grand opening celebration for the new store was held Monday.
The new 5,715-square-foot location is more than 25% larger than its former Maui store and employs 20 workers. The store will provide the same assortment of Hawaii fashions, gifts, souvenirs, beach accessories, gourmet foods as its other stores do, with a Maui-made product focus.
"Located on world-renowned Front Street, Outlets of Maui has long been a part of the fabric of Lahaina, a shopping and dining destination that draws millions of shoppers each
year," Outlets of Maui General Manager Brian Yano told PBN.
The Outlets of Maui features more than 30 designer names such as Coach Outlet, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Banana Republic Factory Store, Gap Factory Store, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.
“It gives us the advantage of being close to the space we’ve occupied for over three decades, while moving us closer to the parking structure for our Hilo Hattie shuttles for cruise ship customers and tour buses," Mark Storfer, executive vice president and COO of Hilo Hattie said, in a statement.
"With the outlet center's central location, one near Maui's main cruise ship port and convenient shuttle bus stop from the region's top hotels and resorts, Hilo Hattie — The Store of Hawaii —
will conveniently serve a strong customer base, comprised of both Island residents and visitors, who are searching for that authentic and special made-in-Hawaii gift," Yano said.
Hilo Hattie has one store in Honolulu, one in Lahaina, one in Lihue, and one in Kailua-Kona.
